2016-17 Statistics (32 total teams):

Yards per game: Panthers 352.8 (14th) > Seahawks 341.9 (17th)

Points per game: Panthers 25.1 (10th) > Seahawks 20.4 (23rd)

Turnover margin: Seahawks +5 > Panthers -5

Fewest yards allowed per game: Seahawks 335.6 (7th) > Panthers 354.5 (17th)

Fewest Points allowed per game: Seahawks 17.0 (1st) > Panthers 25.5 (24th)

Summary:

Seattle has won five of their last seven head to head with Carolina but the Panthers have won the last two.  Both teams are (3-2) in their last five games.  After an embarrassing loss to Tampa Bay last week Seattle will look to get back on track at home.  The Seahawks boast the NFL’s number one defense and Carolina has struggled with turnovers.  Speaking of turnovers, Seattle has a big advantage in terms of turnover margin as they are +10 more than Carolina.  Carolina’s biggest concern is on defense where they have fallen into the bottom third in points allowed.  The Panthers will be without star linebacker Luke Kuechly who is out with a concussion.  These teams tend to play close games as five of the last six have been decided by less than a touchdown.  Carolina has really had a down year so I like Seattle to win by a field goal at home.
