The Trailblazers are (6-4) in their last ten head to head games with the Pelicans.  Portland is off to a fast start ranking as a top five offensive team and leading the league in three-point percentage.  The Trailblazers, typically known for their potent scoring, have also ranked as a top ten defensive team this season.  The dynamic guard tandem of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum are both averaging over 20 points per game.

New Orleans has two of the top ten players in the league in Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins.  In the modern NBA built on pace and spacing the floor, having two traditional big men has been an awkward fit.  The injury to Rajon Rondo really hurts the Pelicans because they lack a true point guard.  I like Portland to take care of business and win this one at home.
