On Wednesday, February, 24th at 8:30 P.M. the (40-14) Oklahoma City Thunder will be on the road to take on the (29-27) Dallas Mavericks. “The Crowd” projects a final score of Thunder 108.5 – Mavericks 101.3 with an over/under of 209.8.  The Mavericks enter the game with a (15-11) home record while the Thunder are (15-9) on the road.  Dallas has lost two straight games entering play while Oklahoma City recently dropped their 14th game of the season.

Point differential: Thunder +8.2 (3rd) Mavericks -0.9 (17th)

Field Goal Percentage Offense: Thunder 47.6% (3rd) Mavericks 43.9% (24th)

Three Point Percentage: Thunder 35.7% (tied for 10th) Mavericks 34.3% (21st)

Free Throw Percentage: Thunder 78.9% (6th) Mavericks 78.2% (10th)

Field Goal Percentage Defense: Thunder 43.8% (6th) Mavericks 44.9% (19th)

Turnovers committed per game: Mavericks 12.1 (tied for 1st) Thunder 15 (tied for 24th)

Turnovers forced per game: Mavericks 13.3 (tied for 21st) Thunder 13 (tied for 24th)

Rebounds per game: Thunder 47.7 (2nd) Mavericks 42.9 (tied for 17th)

Assists per game: Thunder 22.5 (10th) Mavericks 21.4 (19th)

The Mavericks are just (4-6) in their last ten games whereas the Thunder are also (7-3).  Oklahoma City won the last matchup 109-106 on January 22nd.  The Thunder hold a slight advantage in nearly all of the major statistical categories.  The Mavericks play a lot of isolation offense and don’t shoot a high percentage.  They might struggle with an extremely athletic Oklahoma City defense.  Dallas is the best team in the league at taking care of the ball so I think that will keep them in the game.  The Thunder have been a very solid road team this season and I expect them to win a close one at Dallas Wednesday.
