Overview:

On Wednesday, May 10th, the Washington Wizards will be on the road to take on the Boston Celtics in game five of their Eastern Conference playoff series.  The series is tied (2-2).

The Crowd:

“The Crowd” is projecting a final score of Celtics 106.9 – Wizards 104.0 with an over/under of 210.8.

Statistics (2016-17 season):

Point differential: Celtics +2.6 (8th) > Wizards +1.8 (9th)

Field Goal Percentage Offense: Wizards 47.5% (3rd) > Celtics 45.4% (16th)

Assists per game: Celtics 25.2 (tied for 3rd) > Wizards 23.9 (6th)

Summary:

The series is now tied (2-2) after Washington won game four at home 121-102.  The Wizards shot 52.4% from the field and won by double digits despite turning the ball over 19 times.  John Wall had a terrible game needing 25 shots to score his 27 points but Bradley Beal stepped up with 29 points on 11-16 from the field.  Isaiah Thomas has not looked like himself the last two games scoring a total of 32 points on just 22 shot attempts.  The Celtics need Thomas to be great because his usage rate (31.3%) indicates he has the ball in his hands for almost one third of the game.  For the playoffs, Boston is averaging 106.3 points per game while allowing 104.6.  Washington is averaging 110.7 and have allowed 107.6.  The home team has won every game in this series so far and I expect the Celtics to win game five.
