Summary:
Boston holds a (1-0) series advantage after defeating Washington 123-111 at home in game one. The Wizards had no answer for Isaiah Thomas who had 33 points and nine assists in game one. Celtics big man Al Horford nearly had a triple double with 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists. Boston shot nearly 49% from the field and only turned the ball over 11 times. John Wall had 20 points and 16 assists for Washington but he turned the ball over 8 times. The Wizards shot just 59% from the free throw line in game one so they will need to improve in that area. The Celtics have now won seven of their last ten head to head games against the Wizards. Washington’s starters must outscore Boston significantly because the Wizards bench unit ranked dead last averaging only 27.0 points per game. For the playoffs, Boston is averaging 106.1 points per game while allowing 98.6. Washington is averaging 107.3 points per game but they are allowing 108.0. I like the depth of Boston much better and I think they will win game two.
