Summary:
The series is now tied (2-2) after Utah won game four 105-98 at home. This has been a very tightly contested series as each game has been decided by fewer than ten points. The Jazz are averaging 99.8 points in the four games while the Clippers are averaging 100.8. Utah has won each of the two games where they held the Clippers under 100 points. The Clippers suffered a major blow when it was announced that star forward Blake Griffin is out for the rest of the season with a toe injury. Griffin averaged 21.6 points and 8.1 rebounds during the regular season so replacing his production will not be an easy task for head coach Doc Rivers. The Clippers lack of depth was on full display in game four when guard Austin Rivers was out with a hamstring injury. Utah was able to win game despite star forward Gordon Hayward only playing nine minutes due to flu-like symptoms. A healthy Hayward (21.9 PPG and 5.4 RPG) can be a force as he showed in game three when he scored 40 points. I think the Jazz will definitely be able to hold the Clippers under 100 points and win game five with Blake Griffin sidelined.
