Overview:

On Tuesday, April 25th, the Memphis Grizzlies will take on the San Antonio Spurs in game five of their Western Conference playoff series.  The series is tied (2-2).

The Crowd:

“The Crowd” is projecting a final score of Spurs 105.7 – Grizzlies 98.1 with an over/under of 203.8.

Statistics (2016-17 season):

Point differential: Spurs +7.2 (2nd) > Grizzlies +0.5 (tied for 12th)

Field Goal Percentage Offense: Spurs 46.9% (12th) > Grizzlies 43.5% (30th)

Three Point Percentage: Spurs 39.1% (1st) > Grizzlies 35.4% (17th)

Assists per game: Spurs 23.8 (tied for 7th) > Grizzlies 21.3 (21st)

Summary:

The series is now tied (2-2) after Memphis won both of their games at home.  After being held to just 82 points in each of their first two games, the Grizzlies exploded for 105 and 110 points in games two and three.  For the series, Memphis is averaging 94.8 PPG while San Antonio is averaging 102.3 PPG.  Memphis has to be counting their lucky stars to win game four despite turning the ball over 22 times.  Mike Conley is proving to be worth every penny of the huge contract he signed in the offseason averaging 24.0 points and 7.8 assists against the Spurs.  San Antionio need more from LaMarcus Aldridge who managed just 13 points and two rebounds in game four and Manu Ginobili who has zero points in the series.  Kawhi Leonard has been sensational averaging 32.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in the four games.  I think San Antonio finally matches the physicality of Memphis and their supporting cast steps up to seal a game five victory.
