Summary:
Including the playoffs, San Antonio has dominated their match-up with Memphis winning eight of their last ten head to head games. The Spurs won game one in convincing fashion by a final score of 111-82. Memphis is by no means an offensive juggernaut scoring only 82 points despite only turning the ball over only eight times. Memphis had zero answer for Kawhi Leonard who scored 32 points on 11-14 shooting. The Grizzlies really lack players who can create their own shot offensively and the Spurs held them to just 39% shooting. Memphis is missing a key piece in Tony Allen who is their heart and soul on the defensive end of the floor. No team is better at executing half-court offense than the Spurs who are built for playoff basketball. On paper the Spurs are the superior team in nearly every category and will likely sweep the series.
