Summary:

Both teams are really scuffling heading into the all-star break.  Kansas City has been snake bitten by injuries all season and their roster is decimated.  Tigers starter Justin Verlander’s home and road splits are nearly identical and he has held Kansas City’s hitters to a .259 average against with a huge sample size.  Royals starter Ian Kennedy has a 5.14 ERA on the road this season and Tigers hitters are batting .314 against him.  Kansas City has been horrible on the road this year so I’m taking the Tigers by a comfortable margin at home.
