The Crowd:

“The Crowd” projects a final score of Cowboys 28.4 – Lions 21.7 with an over/under of 50.1.  The Vegas Line has a final score of Cowboys 25.3 – Lions 17.8 with an over/under of 43.0.

2016-17 Statistics (32 total teams):

Yards per game: Cowboys 389.8 (5th) > Lions 335.3 (22nd)

Points per game: Cowboys 26.1 (tied for 4th) > Lions 21.5 (20th)

Turnover margin: Cowboys +5 > Lions +2

Fewest yards allowed per game: Cowboys 345.6 (13th) > Lions 346.6 (14th)

Fewest Points allowed per game: Cowboys 18.4 (tied for 4th) > Lions 20.4 (10th)

Summary:

Dallas has defeated every single opponent this season with the exception of the New York Giants.  Detroit is also playing well winning five of their last six games.  Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is fighting through a finger injury and their offense only managed six points in last week’s loss to the Giants.  Dallas (+108) ranks 3rd in point differential while Detroit (+16) is 16th.  Detroit’s defense has only allowed the opposition to exceed 20 points once in their last eight games but I think Dallas will buck that trend.  The Cowboys have scored over 20 points in all but three of their games this season.  I think Dallas will be able to run the ball effectively with star rookie Ezekiel Elliott behind that dominant offensive line.  I like Dallas to take care of the ball and win this one at home.
