Strength of schedule:
Clemson is (7-0) with wins over NC State, Auburn, Troy, South Carolina State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and Boston College. Florida State is (5-2) with wins over Ole Miss, Charleston Southern, South Florida, Miami, and Wake Forest. Their two losses were against ranked opponents in Louisville and North Carolina.
Summary:
Clemson remains one of the few undefeated teams in all of college football despite avoiding a few close scares. The Tigers rank 26th in scoring offense and 9th in scoring defense. Florida State ranks 35th in scoring offense and 75th in scoring defense. Florida State has one of the best running backs in the nation in Dalvin Cook but Clemson is strong against the run. Florida State has a young quarterback in Deondre Francois who has struggled with turnovers in some of their key games.
Clemson has yet to play up to their potential despite being undefeated. Quarterback Deshaun Watson is having another terrific season despite not having the same running attack from his backs. Clemson rose to the challenge against Louisville and I expect them to do the same against Florida State.
