Summary:
Manchester United, with their lofty expectations, have to be disappointed with their 6th place finish a year ago. The offseason signaled a changing of the guard as Manchester United parted ways with club legend Wayne Rooney and their leading goal scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Manchester United made some big additions in striker Romelu Lukaku and center back Nemanja Matic. Lukaku scored 25 goals for Everton last season which ranked second in the EPL. Manchester United’s defense was excellent a year ago allowing the second fewest goals (29). West Ham had a nice offseason signing striker Chicharito and winger Marko Arnautovic. This should help West Ham to have a potent attack for the upcoming season. West Ham’s problems are on the defensive side of the ball where they allowed the most goals in the entire league last year (64). Manchester United should have possession for the majority of the game and should win at home by multiple goals.
