Summary:

Washington enters the game leading the league in runs per game (5.5), batting average (.294), and on base percentage (.363).  Bryce Harper enters the game red hot hitting .404 with 6 homers and 18 runs batted in.  The Mets have really struggled offensively this year and are getting next to nothing outside of Yoenis Cespedes and Jay Bruce.  The return of closer Jeurys Familia should help stabilize an already solid Mets bullpen.  Washington hitters have dominated Mets starter Zack Wheeler hitting a combined .352 against the righty.  Washington have had their struggles in the back end up the bullpen already but most of the time they have simply out-slugged teams.  The Nationals were (12-7) against the Mets last season outscoring them 81-51 in those nineteen games.  The Nationals are getting contributions up and down their potent lineup and I think they win again Sunday night against a pitcher they’ve hit well.
