Summary:
In 2016 Toronto was (11-9) in their head to head games with Baltimore outscoring them 102-83. Blue Jays starter J.A. Happ had an excellent season last year (20-4, 3.18) and garnered some consideration for the AL Cy Young Award. Happ has held Orioles hitters to a .229 average against. Orioles starter Dylan Bundy made strides in his age 23 season going (10-6, 4.02). Toronto hitters have only had nine total at bats against Bundy and without recording a hit. Toronto lost some thump in their lineup when slugger Edwin Encarnacion left to join the Indians. Baltimore lost their starting catcher Matt Wieters to the Nationals so it remains to be seen how that will affect their pitching staff. The Blue Jays will be without their closer Roberto Osuna who was placed on the disabled list with a back injury. Manny Machado hit .344 with 7 homers in April a season ago and performed well (.288) against the Blue Jays. Baltimore was one of the best home teams in baseball last year (50-31), and I like them to win on Wednesday night.
