The Crowd:

“The Crowd” projects a final score of Seahawks 25.2 – Jets 21.2 with an over/under of 46.4.

2016-17 Statistics (32 total teams):

Yards per game: Jets 379.3 (10th) > Seahawks 358.7 (19th)

Points per game: Jets 20.7 (23rd) > Seahawks 17.3 (28th)

Turnover margin: Seahawks -4 > Jets -7

Fewest yards allowed per game: Seahawks 250.3 (1st) > Jets 355.7 (14th)

Fewest Points allowed per game: Seahawks 12.3 (2nd) > Jets 26.0 (21st)

Summary:

Both teams have struggled to take care of the football in the early going, in fact the Jets have the worst turnover margin in the NFL.  That bodes trouble for the Jets going against the best defense in football.  This should be a low scoring game with both offenses having their troubles.  Seattle has a huge advantage because their style is to control the clock and play great defense.  Obviously much of Seattle’s success depends on the health of quarterback Russell Wilson but head coach Pete Carroll says he’s ready to play.  I like Seattle on the road in this one.
