Summary:

San Antonio is (8-2) in their last ten games whereas New Orleans is just (4-6).  The Pelicans sent shockwaves through the NBA when they pulled off the blockbuster trade for Demarcus Cousins.  Pairing Cousins with Anthony Davis gives New Orleans perhaps the best frontcourt in the entire NBA.  Growing pains are to be expected through as New Orleans is (0-3) since acquiring Cousins.  The Pelicans have failed to scored 100 points in three of their last four games and now face a Spurs defense that ranks second in fewest points allowed per game (98.3).  San Antonio has won five of their last six games against New Orleans.  The Spurs own the NBA’s second best road record at (26-7) while New Orleans is (13-15) at home.  San Antonio has the advantage in nearly every statistical category and should win this one on the road.
