The Crowd:

“The Crowd” is projecting a final score of Eagles 28.2 – Cowboys 22.8 with an over/under of 51.0.

2017-18 Statistics (32 total teams):

Yards per game: Eagles 377.0 (4th) > Cowboys 355.2 (11th)

Points per game: Eagles 31.4 (2nd) > Cowboys 25.9 (8th)

Turnover margin: Eagles +6 > Cowboys +2

Fewest yards allowed per game: Eagles 315.9 (10th) > Cowboys 325.9 (15th)

Fewest Points allowed per game: Eagles 19.9 (10th) > Cowboys 22.8 (17th)

Summary:

The Cowboys saw their three-game winning streak come to an end after losing to the Falcons 27-7 in Atlanta.   The Falcons outgained the Cowboys 336-233 in total yardage.  Dak Prescott was 20-30 for 176 yards.  The Cowboys offense seemed to be lost without star running back Ezekiel Elliott who was suspended.  Even more glaring was the absence of all pro lineman Tyron Smith.  Falcons defensive end Adrian Clayborn had a field day with six sacks.  The Cowboys rushing attack still managed 107 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries (5.1 average) but they were trailing for the majority of the game.  The Cowboys (+28) rank 12th in the NFL in point differential.  The Eagles should be well rested following their bye week and have had two weeks to prepare for Dallas.  Philadelphia has now won seven straight games after destroying the Denver Broncos 51-23 at home.  Carson Wentz is the front runner for league MVP leading the Eagles to the best record with a sparkling 23-5 touchdown to interception ratio.  The Eagles (+104) lead the NFL in point differential by a wide margin.

Bottom Line:

These two teams have split their last four head to head games although the Eagles won the first match-up this year 27-13 in Philadelphia.  The Cowboys offense looked awful without Ezekiel Elliott and Tryon Smith.  Dak Prescott is not the type of quarterback you want airing it out 40 times a game.  Wentz and the Eagles are clicking on all cylinders right now and should be able to cover the spread against depleted Cowboys team.
