“The Crowd” projects a final score of Ottawa 28.5 – Hamilton 23.5 with an over/under of 52.0.
2017 Statistics (9 total teams):
Point differential: Ottawa -15 (7th) > Hamilton -143 (9th)
Points per game: Ottawa 26.8 (6th) > Hamilton 18.6 (9th)
Points allowed per game: Ottawa 28.6 (7th) > Hamilton 39.0 (9th)
Yards per game: Ottawa 388.9 (6th) > Hamilton 303.6 (9th)
Yards allowed per game: Ottawa 437.0 (8th) > Hamilton 475.7 (9th)
Summary:
These two teams have combined for a whopping one victory for the season. Hamilton remains winless (0-7-0) after getting blown out 39-12 by Winnipeg. Hamilton was outgained 408-247 yardage wise and had the ball for seven minutes fewer than Winnipeg. Hamilton’s inability to run the football has really hurt them as they managed only 31 total rushing yards against Winnipeg. Ottawa (1-6-1) is coming off a tough 27-20 loss to Edmonton. The Redblacks held a 20-19 lead going into the fourth quarter but could not keep Edmonton off the scoreboard. Ottawa’s defense was torched by Mike Reilly who threw for 384 yards and two touchdowns. Hamilton is (0-4-0) at home this season while Ottawa is (1-3-1) on the road. Hamilton ranks last in nearly every offensive and defensive category. Ottawa’s point differential indicates they aren’t as bad as their record indicates. I expect Ottawa to win this game by double digits.
