Summary:

The Raiders destroyed the Jets 45-20 at home in week two.  Oakland outgained the Jets 410-271 in total yardage.  Derek Carr was 23-28 for 230 yards and three touchdowns.  Oakland was very successful establishing the ground game rushing for 180 yards on 27 carries.  The Raiders defense played well for the most part and forced the Jets into two turnovers.  The Raiders have the NFL’s most prolific offense averaging (35.5) points per game.  Oakland also (+35) currently has the best point differential in the league.

Washington was able to pull out an impressive 27-20 road victory against the Rams.  The Redskins outgained the Rams 385-332 in total yardage and won the possession battle by 13 minutes.  Kirk Cousins was 18-27 for 179 yards and a touchdown.  The Redskins rushing attack gashed the Rams defense for 229 yards on 39 carries.  Two key Rams turnovers proved to be the difference in this one.  The Redskins (-6) rank 20th in the NFL in point differential.

Bottom Line:

Washington’s defense has really struggled in the early portion of the season and they will be up against an Oakland offense that leads the NFL in points per game.  The Raiders hold the advantage in every major statistical category and should win this one on the road.
