Summary:
The Broncos traveled to Buffalo and were beaten 26-16 by the Bills. Denver outgained Buffalo 366-272 in total yardage. Trevor Siemian was 24-40 for 259 yards and two interceptions. The two interceptions by Siemian were drive killers and ultimately the difference in the game. The Broncos rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. The Broncos (+18) are tied for 6th in the NFL in point differential.
The Raiders were very disappointing in their 27-10 road loss to the Washington Redskins. The Redskins outgained Oakland 472-128 in total yardage and had the ball for nearly twice as long. Derek Carr was 19-31 for 118 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The Raiders rushing attack produced a meager 32 yards on 13 carries. Kirk Cousins picked apart the Raiders secondary for 365 yards and a touchdown. The Raiders (+18) are tied for 6th in the NFL in point differential.
Bottom Line:
The casual fan would be surprised to hear that Denver (27.3 PPG) actually averages more points than Oakland (27.0 PPG). The Broncos feature a dominant pass rush that should be able to get pressure on Carr and force him into mistakes. Trevor Siemian will need to eliminate the turnovers that cost them a win in Buffalo. The Broncos dominant defense will lead them to victory on Sunday.
