The Crowd:
“The Crowd” projects a final score of Vikings 25.4 – Bears 16.8 with an over/under of 42.2. The Vegas Line has a final score of Vikings 23.3 – Bears 17.3 with an over/under of 40.5.
2016-17 Statistics (32 total teams):
Yards per game: Bears 348.6 (16th) > Vikings 299.2 (31st)
Points per game: Vikings 21.5 (18th) > Bears 15.9 (32nd)
Turnover margin: Vikings +11 > Bears -2
Fewest yards allowed per game: Vikings 279.5 (1st) > Bears 350.4 (12th)
Fewest Points allowed per game: Vikings 14.0 (tied for 1st) > Bears 24.1 (20th)
Summary:
The Bears should get a lift from quarterback Jay Cutler who finally returns from injury, but they will be up against the best defense in the NFL. The Vikings enter the game with the best turnover margin the league. I expect the Vikings defense to be stingy and force several turnovers from a scuffling Chicago offense. The Bears have had trouble scoring points all season and I expect more of the same Monday night. I like the Vikings to win this one handily on the road.
