Summary:

Both teams are having disappointing seasons so far and struggling right now.  Portland is (4-6) in their last ten games while the Lakers are just (3-7).  The Lakers are fresh off perhaps their worst loss in franchise history: a 122-73 defeat at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks. The Lakers will be without their best player D’Angelo Russell who is recovering from a myriad of leg injuries.  The Lakers offense has really suffered lately failing to score 100 points in five of their last seven games.  Portland has absolutely dominated this match-up winning the last ten head to head games.  Neither team plays much defense so I expect this to be a transition game.  Portland is (11-9) at home while Los Angeles is (5-19) on the road.  I like Portland to win big at home with Russell sidelined.
