Summary:

The Dodgers enter the game 5^th in the league in runs per game (5.10) and 1^st in team earned run average (3.07).  The Diamondbacks rank 6^th in runs per game (4.99) and 2^nd in team ERA (3.53).  The Dodgers are on fire going (9-1) in their last ten games while the Diamondbacks are just (5-5).  The Dodgers are (6-4) in head to head games against Arizona outscoring them 44-38.  The Dodgers will start Alex Wood (13-1, 2.33) on the mound who is having a career year.  Diamondbacks hitters are batting a combined .241 against Wood.  Wood has been unbelievable on the road this season (5-0, 1.55) but has been a bit more hittable since the All-Star break (3-1, 4.56).

Arizona will have their ace Zach Greinke (13-4, 3.10) pitching.  The Dodgers have had some success against Greinke hitting a combined .268 against the righty.  Corey Seager is a player to watch with six hits in nine at-bats versus Greinke including two homers.  Greinke is a perfect (10-0) at home in 2017 with a terrific 2.39 ERA.  Greinke has had mixed results in the second half of the season (2-0, 4.15) but has yet to take a loss.  The Diamondbacks are (36-18) at home this year whereas the Dodgers are (32-19) on the road.  This should be a low scoring game with two great pitchers facing off.  The Diamondbacks average 6.1 runs per game when Greinke pitches which ranks 9^th in all of baseball.  The Dodgers have been on an unbelievable run in the second half, but I like Arizona to win a close one.
