“The Crowd” projects a final score of Falcons 26.8 – Chiefs 23.5 with an over/under of 50.3. The Vegas Line has a final score of Falcons 26.3 – Chiefs 22.8 with an over/under of 49.0.
2016-17 Statistics (32 total teams):
Yards per game: Falcons 411.5 (3rd) > Chiefs 328.3 (27th)
Points per game: Falcons 32.5 (1st) > Chiefs 22.9 (16th)
Turnover margin: Chiefs +14 > Falcons +3
Fewest yards allowed per game: Falcons 381.0 (27th) > Chiefs 381.9 (28th)
Fewest Points allowed per game: Chiefs 19.5 (8th) > Falcons 27.5 (29th)
Summary:
Kansas City comes into the game hot having won six of their last seven games while Atlanta is (4-3) in that stretch. The Falcons easily have the highest scoring offense in the NFL at nearly 33 points per game but they will be facing a Chiefs team that ranks top ten in scoring defense. Nobody forces turnovers better than the Chiefs who have a ridiculous +14 margin. Kansas City has only scored over 20 points once in their last four games meanwhile Atlanta has scored 33 or more points in three of their last four. I think the Chiefs defense can keep Atlanta under 30 but their offense won’t be able to score enough to win this one on the road.
