2016-17 Statistics (32 total teams):

Yards per game: Raiders 401.1 (5th) > Texans 308.8 (30th)

Points per game: Raiders 27.2 (5th) > Texans 17.9 (29th)

Turnover margin: Raiders +9 > Texans -5

Fewest yards allowed per game: Texans 317.4 (4th) > Raiders 398.0 (28th)

Fewest Points allowed per game: Texans 20.9 (12th) > Raiders 24.8 (21st)

Summary:

Oakland is flying high with one of the most prolific offenses in the league.  Quarterback Derek Carr has to be among the top five MVP candidates.  Oakland has won three straight games and have scored 30 or more in each of those games.  The Raiders defense continues to climb in the rankers after ranking among the five worst teams for most of the season.  Houston is (3-2) in their last five games despite averaging just 18.4 points per game.  Despite losing defensive stud J.J. Watt for the entire season the Texans rank as a top 12 defensive unit.  The low scoring Texans better have their best defensive game of the season if they want to have a chance to beat Oakland.  I like the Raiders to win at home.
