On Friday, August 18th, the (5-1-1) Calgary Stampeders will be on the road to take on the (5-3-0) BC Lions.

 The Crowd:

“The Crowd” projects a final score of Calgary 28.4 – BC 27.3 with an over/under of 55.7.

2017 Statistics (9 total teams):

Point differential: Calgary +109 (1st) > BC +6 (tied for 5th)

Points per game: Calgary 36.3 (1st) > BC 28.5 (4th)

Points allowed per game: Calgary 20.7 (1st) > BC 27.8 (5th)

Yards per game: BC 433.7 (1st) > Calgary 416.4 (3rd)

Yards allowed per game: Calgary 364.4 (3rd) > BC 390.4 (5th)

Summary:

Calgary enters Week 9 with a (5-1-1) and rested following their bye week.  Calgary leads the CFL in points per game (36.3) and fewest points allowed (20.7).  BC was blown out 41-8 on the road versus Saskatchewan.  The Lions are now (5-3-0) after losing two of their last three games.  BC quarterback Jonathan Jennings had a rough night, throwing four interceptions to defensive back Ed Gainey.  The Lions defense was shredded by Kevin Glenn who threw for 320 yards and 3 touchdowns.  BC is (2-1-0) at home this season while Calgary is (2-1-1) on the road.  The Stampeders are playing great currently riding a three-game winning streak.  BC has really tailed off the last few weeks and the problems are directly related to the quarterback position where Jennings must play better.  With two weeks to prepare and rest, I expect Calgary to win this game on the road.
