Summary:
Cleveland is (8-2) in their last ten games whereas Boston is (6-4) in that span. The Cavaliers own the best home record in the NBA at (16-2) while Boston is a very respectable (12-7) on the road. Including the playoffs, the Cavaliers have won seven of their last eight head to head games versus the Celtics. Cleveland will be without their starting shooting guard J.R. Smith who is recovering from thumb surgery. Even without Smith, Cleveland has plenty of perimeter shooting to make up for his loss. Cleveland holds the edge is most of the major statistical categories above including a huge edge on the glass. With Lebron James sitting out Monday’s game he should be well rested and ready to put up big numbers against Boston. Speaking of James, he is averaging 8.6 assists per game which would be the highest mark of his career. I think Cleveland will rebound after their debacle in Detroit and win at home Thursday night.
