Strength of schedule:
Ohio State is (7-1) with wins over Bowling Green, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Northwestern. Their only loss came at the road against Penn State. Nebraska is (7-1) with wins over Fresno State, Wyoming, Oregon, Northwestern, Illinois, Indiana, and Purdue.
Summary:
Anyone writing off Ohio State should remember that in each of Urban Meyer’s championship seasons they lost a game. The Buckeyes rank as a top ten team both offensively and defensively. They have one of the best turnover margins in college football. Their offense has slowed down the last few weeks because they have not taken enough shots downfield. Ohio State averages nearly 300 yards per game on the ground so the Nebraska defense will have their hands full. Nebraska ranks as a top 15 team defensively and a top 50 team offensively. Ohio State has too many weapons on offense and will win this game at home barring an excess of turnovers. Remember Ohio State’s last three Big Ten games have been decided by seven points or fewer so this likely won’t be a blowout.
