On Friday, July 13^th, the (1-2-0) Toronto Argonauts will be on the road to take on the (2-2-0) Edmonton Eskimos.

Summary:

Toronto pulled off a 20-17 home upset over the Edmonton Eskimos in week four.  Edmonton held a 17-12 lead late in the fourth quarter but a last minute touchdown ultimately proved to be their undoing.  Edmonton outgained Toronto 426-362 in total yardage but couldn’t get the key stop on defense.  James Franklin was 16-24 for 217 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the victory.  James Wilder Jr. carried the ball 21 times for 120 yards (5.7 average) and a touchdown.  Mike Reilly threw for 370 yards with a touchdown and an interception in defeat.  For the season, Toronto is averaging 15.3 points per game (9^th) and allowing 28.3 (7^th).  Edmonton is averaging 28.0 points per game (3^rd) and they are allowing 27.5 (6^th).

Bottom Line:

Toronto controlled the line of scrimmage and ran the ball at will against the Edmonton defense in week four.  The Eskimos found success in the passing game but were unable to get into the endzone at their normal rate.  Edmonton has the better quarterback and I expect them to bounce back with a victory in front of their home crowd.
