BLOOMBERG ARTICLE HIGHLIGHTS IMPACT OF IRAN SANCTIONS; MAYBE A LONG TERM READ-ACROSS FOR CRYPTO: There’s very little the European Union can do to prevent U.S. sanctions on Iran from curbing trade flows, including oil, says Patrick Murphy, partner at international law firm Clyde and Co., which has energy and marine practices. “If the U.S. decides it wants to stop certain EU companies from accessing the financial system, there’s nothing you can do to stop that,” Murphy says by phone Says EU statements this week are “probably a bit of grandstanding on the political stage to make a point”. “When push comes to shove there is very little they can do”.
