Summary:

The Chiefs finished the season on a four-game winning streak.  Kansas City defeated the Broncos 27-24 in Denver to end their season.  The Chiefs outgained the Broncos 379-336 in total yardage.  Kansas City rested most of their starters including Alex Smith.  Patrick Mahomes made his first career start and went 22-35 for 284 yards and an interception.  The Chiefs running game totaled 110 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries (4.1 average).  Albert Wilson had a huge game with 10 catches for 147 yards.  The Chiefs defense was able to force three turnovers in the victory.  Kansas City (+76) ranks 10th in the NFL in point differential.

The Titans ended their three-game losing streak with a 15-10 home victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.  The Titans outgained the Jaguars 232-229 in total yardage.  The Titans dominated time of possession and forced the Jaguars into four turnovers.  Marcus Mariota was 12-21 for 134 yards and a touchdown.  Mariota also ran the ball ten times for 60 yards.  Derrick Henry had a rough game totaling only 51 yards on 28 carries (1.8 average).  Henry did have a 66 yard catch that went for a touchdown.  The Titans defense turned in one of their best performances of the season confusing Blake Bortles all game.  The Titans (-22) rank 16th in the NFL in point differential.

Bottom Line:

The Titans, back in the playoffs for the first time since 2008, will face off against a Chiefs team that has been in the postseason three of the last four years.  DeMarco Murray is questionable for the game and won’t be 100% if he plays.  Kansas City’s defense has been inconsistent but they played well down the stretch.  The Chiefs (+15) boast the league’s best turnover margin.  Alex Smith will take care of the ball while Kareem Hunt will carry the team offensively.  I like the Chiefs at home to win and cover the (-5.7) spread.
