Overview:

On Tuesday, November 7th, the (4-5) Milwaukee Bucks will be on the road to take on the (4-6) Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Crowd:

“The Crowd” is projecting a final score of Cavaliers 104.8 – Bucks 97.0 with an over/under of 201.8.

Statistics (2017-18 season):

Point differential: Bucks -3.1 (23rd) > Cavaliers -4.9 (24th)

Points per game: Cavaliers 108.5 (8th) > Bucks 103.9 (21st)

Points allowed per game: Bucks 107.0 (19th) > Cavaliers 113.4 (28th)

Field Goal Percentage Offense: Bucks 48.2% (2nd) > Cavaliers 47.2% (5th)

Three Point Percentage: Bucks 39.5% (4th) > Cavaliers 33.4% (25th)

Field Goal Percentage Defense: Bucks 46.8% (23rd) > Cavaliers 47.7% (27th)

Turnovers committed per game: Bucks 14.2 (11th) > Cavaliers 15.6 (20th)

Turnovers forced per game: Bucks 14.6 (23rd) > Cavaliers 12.6 (28th)

Rebounds per game: Cavaliers 42.4 (22nd) > Bucks 37.7 (30th)

Assists per game: Bucks 24.4 (3rd) > Cavaliers 21.9 (15th)

Bottom Line:

The Cavaliers (4-6) have easily been one of the league’s most disappointing teams thus far.  The ironic thing is they’ve beaten their top competitors in the Eastern Conference (MIL, BOS, WAS) but have lost to some vastly inferior opponents (ATL, NYK, BKN).  Cleveland has been one of the worst defensive teams in the league this season allowing 113.4 points per game.  They aren’t forcing turnovers and opponents are shooting nearly 48% against them.  Kyrie Irving has surely been missed and LeBron James is being asked to do everything just to get a win.  The Cavaliers led the league in three-point shooting but rank just 25th this season (33.4%).

Milwaukee (4-5) has struggled in the early portion of the season despite Giannis Antetokounmpo being the front runner for league MVP averaging 31.0 PPG, 9.9 RPG, and 5.0 APG.  Milwaukee was beaten by Cleveland 116-97 on their home floor earlier this season.  The Bucks have been the worst rebounding team in the NBA this season (37.7) but that will be mitigated because Tristan Thompson is sitting out with injury.  The length and athleticism of the Bucks will allow them to get out in transition against the NBA’s oldest roster.  I’m taking the Bucks against the spread to go into Cleveland and get a win.
