Summary:
Montreal finished last season with a (7-11-0) record while Saskatchewan was (5-13-0). The Roughriders made big headlines in the offseason signing former college football star Vince Young. Young unfortunately suffered a torn hamstring and was recently waived by the club. I expect a low scoring game with two of the weakest offensive teams facing off. Montreal ranked 2nd in total defense a season ago and should be able to shut down the lowest scoring team in the CFL last season. Montreal was (3-6-0) at home last year whereas Saskatchewan was (2-7-0) on the road. I like Montreal’s defense to lead them to victory in week one.
