Overview:

On Saturday, April 8th, the (47-31) Los Angeles Clippers will be on the road to take on the (60-17) San Antonio Spurs.

The Crowd:

“The Crowd” is projecting a final score of Spurs 107.1 – Clippers 100.7 with an over/under of 207.8.

Statistics (2016-17 season):

Assists per game: Spurs 24.0 (tied for 6th) > Clippers 22.4 (tied for 14th)

Summary:

San Antonio is (8-2) in their last ten games while Los Angeles is (7-3).  These two teams have split their last ten head to head regular season meetings.  The Clippers are the more potent offensive team while San Antonio is elite on the defensive side of the ball.  Speaking of defense the Spurs have held the opposition to an average of 95.8 points in their last ten games.  San Antonio has the NBA’s second best home record at (31-8) while the Clippers are (21-19) on the road.  The Clippers have held Kawhi Leonard to 20.7 points (his lowest against any opponent this season) and just 37.5% shooting from the field.  I expect Leonard to rebound and prove why he is a legitimate MVP candidate this year.  These teams are pretty evenly matched with San Antonio having a slight advantage in most statistical categories.  I like the Spurs to win at home.
