Assists per game: North Carolina 18.2 > Oregon 16.0

Summary:

Oregon is (5-2) against ranked opponents this season while North Carolina is (8-5).  For the tournament, North Carolina is averaging 85.5 points per game while allowing 70.5.  Oregon is averaging 77.8 points per game and have allowed 69.3.  North Carolina has a big advantage on the glass averaging over six rebounds per game more than Oregon.  The Tar Heels have been killing teams on the boards throughout the tournament and were (+10) in their win over Kentucky.  The Ducks have two elite shot blockers in Chris Boucher and Jordan Bell who each average over two per game.  Oregon has the best player in Dillon Brooks who averages 16.3 points on 49.6% shooting from the field and 41.0% from three.  Oregon will have to shoot well from the perimeter to win this game because their big men aren’t really back to the basket type players.  Ultimately, I think rebounding and second chance points help the Tar Heels to advance.
