“The Crowd” projects a final score of UCLA 81.0 – Oregon 75.0 with an over/under of 156.0.

Statistics (2016-17 season):

Point differential: UCLA 16.4 PPG > Oregon 15.4 PPG

Points per game: UCLA 92.9 PPG > Oregon 78.9 PPG

Points allowed per game: Oregon 63.5 > UCLA 76.5 PPG

Turnovers per game: UCLA 12.0 > Oregon 12.6

Rebounds per game: UCLA 38.8 > Oregon 37.3

Assists per game: UCLA 22.0 > Oregon 17.3

Summary:

UCLA leads the nation in field goal percentage (53.5%) and assists per game (22.0) while ranking 2nd in points per game (92.9).  Oregon doesn’t have the offensive firepower that UCLA does but they rank as a top 25 team in fewest points allowed per game (63.5) and field goal percentage defense (39.1%).  Oregon has won 19 of their last 20 games whereas UCLA is (8-2) in their last ten.  Oregon has three wins over ranked teams this year while UCLA has just one.  The Ducks defeated the Bruins 89-87 earlier this season in Oregon.  Obviously these teams are very evenly matched despite being polar opposites in terms of strengths and weaknesses.  I expect another high scoring affair as Oregon showed they can keep pace in their first contest.  I think UCLA will get revenge and win this one at home where they have lost just once this season.
