Statistics (2016-17 season):

Point differential: Baylor 14.1 PPG > Kansas 13.2 PPG

Summary:

Kansas ranks as a top 20 team in terms of scoring offense at 84.3 points per game.  Baylor ranks 7th in the nation in fewest points allowed at 61.1 points per game.  I expect this to be a close game as these teams are separated by just (0.9) in terms of point differential for the season.  Kansas has the advantage in the majority categories but with the way Baylor defends, they have a good chance to win against any team in the country.  Kansas shoots significantly better from the perimeter than Baylor so that could play a key factor in the outcome of this one. I believe Baylor will have to force a significant amount of turnovers to make up for the gap in scoring.  Kansas has done a good job of taking care of the ball this year so I’ll give them the slight edge at home.
