Summary:
The two frontrunners for the NBA’s most valuable player award go head to head in this one. Thunder guard Russell Westbrook is averaging 30-10-10 and is well on his way to becoming the first player since the great Oscar Robertson to average a triple double to the entire season. At 28-12-8 James harden isn’t far behind in the MVP race, and has his Rockets off to one of the best starts in franchise history. Harden’s transition to point guard has increased his statistics across the board as well as his team’s collective success. Houston is (8-2) in their last ten games while Oklahoma City is (6-4). The Rockets are terrific at home (14-3) whereas Oklahoma City (8-8) has been respectable on the road. I expect this to be a very high scoring affair which would favor Houston because defense is certainly not their strength. I’m sure Russell Westbrook will put on a show but the Thunder miss Kevin Durant way more than they will ever admit. Houston is on a roll right now and I like them to win this one.
