2016-17 Statistics (127 total teams):

Rushing defense: LSU 103.7 YPG > Ole Miss 212.8 YPG
Turnover Margin Per Game: LSU +0.2 > Ole Miss -0.2
Strength of schedule:
Ole Miss is (3-3) with wins over Wofford, Memphis, and Georgia. Their three losses came against ranked opponents in Alabama, Arkansas, and Florida State. LSU is (4-2) with wins over Jacksonville State, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Southern Miss. Their two losses came against Wisconsin and Auburn.
Summary:
The Ole Miss offense has scored 30 or more points in every game so far this season. LSU comes into the game as a top five scoring defense in the nation. LSU is great at stuffing the run and will force Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly to beat them through the air. Kelly is one of the best quarterbacks in the nation and has put up monster numbers this year. LSU’s passing game leaves a lot to be desired but they really know how to run the football. Their star tailback Leonard Fournette returns from injury and will be a handful for a suspect Rebels defense. LSU plays much better at home where they are undefeated thus far. I like LSU to win a close one.
