2015-16 Statistics (32 total teams):

Last season Arizona finished with a (13-3) record and a (+176) point differential.  New England was (12-4) with a (+150) point differential.

Yards per game: Cardinals 408.3 (1st) > Patriots 374.4 (6th)

Points per game: Cardinals 30.6 (2nd) > Patriots 29.1 (3rd)

Turnover margin: Cardinals +9 (4th) > Patriots +7 (7th)

Fewest yards allowed per game: Cardinals 321.7 (5th) > Patriots 339.4 (9th)

Fewest Points allowed per game: Cardinals 19.6 (tied for 7th) > Patriots 19.7 (10th)

Summary:

These teams are very evenly matched but of course New England will be without their star quarterback Tom Brady who is serving a four game suspension to start the season.  Starting in Brady’s absence will be Jimmy Garoppolo who has accumulated 31 total pass attempts since being drafted by the Patriots in the 2014 NFL Draft.  Obviously the Patriots are stacked on both sides of the ball but Brady is what makes everything go.

Arizona is coming of one of their best seasons in franchise history and quarterback Carson Palmer is on a mission to put away the demons from his dismal post-season performance.  Arizona has weapons aplenty on offense and their balanced attack is one to be reckoned with.  The defense has stars everywhere especially in the secondary and should make it really tough on Garoppolo.  I like the Cardinals by double digits.
