Summary:
Looking at the stats a couple of things really shocked me. St. Louis is a team that is typically built on pitching and defense yet they are a top 5 offensive team this year and lead the league in errors. Former Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright has struggled to a (5.71) ERA this season and is on pace to set career lows in a number of different categories.
Meanwhile, Giants struck gold in the form of pitcher Johnny Cueto, who is (8-1, 2.31 ERA) this season after struggling with Kansas City last year. The Giants have been hot lately and an excellent road team. Cueto is one of the best pitchers in baseball this year so I think he will keep a potent Cardinals offense in check.
