In game one of their series the three seed Miami Heat will be on the road to take on the two seed Toronto Raptors in the second round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs.  The game will be played on Tuesday, May, 3rd at 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time. “The Crowd” projects a final score of Heat 99.7 – Raptors 97.5 with an over/under of 197.2.  The Vegas Line has a final score of Raptors 98 – Heat 93.5 with an over/under of 191.5.

Point differential: Raptors +4.5 (5th) Heat +1.6 (12th)

Points allowed per game: Raptors 98.2 (3rd) Heat 98.4 (5th)

Field Goal Percentage Offense: Heat 47% (4th) Raptors 45.1% (15th)

Three Point Percentage: Raptors 37% (tied for 4th) Heat 33.6% (27th)

Free Throw Percentage: Raptors 77.7% (12th) Heat 74.4% (23rd)

Field Goal Percentage Defense: Heat 44.2% (9th) Raptors 44.4% (11th)

Turnovers committed per game: Raptors 12.1 (2nd) Heat 13.2 (12th)

Turnovers forced per game: Raptors 12.8 (tied for 24th) Heat 12.3 (27th)

Rebounds per game: Heat 44.1 (13th) Raptors 43.4 (16th)

Assists per game: Heat 20.8 (23rd) Raptors 18.7 (29th)

These teams are very evenly matched in most statistical categories with the Raptors holding the slight edge.  Both teams had to grind through a seven game playoff series to get to this point.  Miami and Toronto have split their last ten head to head games.  Toronto dropped game one at home against Indiana so I think they will be more focused this time around.  If Miami forward Chris Bosh were healthy this would be a completely different series.  I like Toronto to win a low scoring defensive minded game one at home.
