Warriors OVER Rockets in 5

The defending champions are on cruise control. Don’t let the recent home losses fool you. Harden & company have checked out. If the Rockets are favored in Game 4 pull the trigger.

Spurs OVER Grizzlies in 4 

Spurs will destroy a very depleted Memphis team. Don’t be surprised if you don’t see much of the “Big 3” in the first round. Memphis has lost 15 out of 20 to end the season.

Thunder OVER Mavericks in 5 

Mavs will have no answer for KD & Westbrook. With the late season injury to Chandler Parsons it will be very difficult to keep this competitive series. Give Rick Carlisle credit for getting this team to 42 wins with a very aging & injured roster.

Clippers OVER Blazers in 7

Great to see Paul v.s Lillard go out at in a 7 game series. Blake Griffin will be the x-factor in the series. Easily the most competitive series in the 1st round. Blazers having tied for the worst road record will catch up to them in Game 7.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

Raptors OVER Pacers in 6

Toronto is more talented and more consistent. They imploded last year when Lowry was hurt in the playoffs. Look for them to right the wrong. DeRozan & Lowry will just be too much to handle.

Cavs OVER Pistons in 6

Look for the Pistons to steal two games in this series. SVG has done one hell of a job with this team since he has taken over basketball operations in Detroit. The Cavs are mess right now on the floor and off the court. Don’t be surprised if the Pistons send them home packing early.

Heat OVER Hornets in 6

The Hornets will have no answer for Whiteside down low. With D-Wade finally coming into a playoff series healthy watch him take over the leadership role. I have a feeling the Joe Johnson pick-up will finally start paying dividends.

Celtics OVER Hawks in 5

Coming from a Knicks fan it hurts to write this. Boston is a fantastic team, and so much fun to watch. Isaiah Thomas will be a joy for fans in the playoffs, and they have so many great pieces. They remain a team that is “good” trying to be great, as they still lack the superstar that could take them to the next level.
