On Friday, April, 1st at 8:00 P.M. the (52-21) Cleveland Cavaliers will be on the road to take on the (44-30) Atlanta Hawks. “The Crowd” projects a final score of Cavaliers 104.2 – Hawks 99.3 with an over/under of 203.5.  The Hawks enter the game with a (24-13) home record while the Cavaliers are (22-15) on the road.

Point differential: Cavaliers +6.0 (4th) Hawks +4.0 (6th)

Points per game: Cavaliers 103.9 (9th) Hawks 102.9 (tied for 13th)

Points allowed per game: Cavaliers 97.9 (3rd) Hawks 98.9 (6th)

Field Goal Percentage Offense: Cavaliers 46.1% (9th) Hawks 46% (10th)

Three Point Percentage: Cavaliers 35.8% (9th) Hawks 35% (tied for 14th)

Free Throw Percentage: Hawks 78.3% (9th) Cavaliers 74.5% (24th)

Field Goal Percentage Defense: Hawks 43.3% (1st) Cavaliers 44.9% (14th)

Turnovers committed per game: Cavaliers 12.9 (tied for 8th) Hawks 14.4 (tied for 22nd)

Turnovers forced per game: Hawks 15.6 (tied for 4th) Cavaliers 12.8 (24th)

Rebounds per game: Cavaliers 44.6 (tied for 7th) Hawks 41.7 (25th)

Assists per game: Hawks 25.7 (2nd) Cavaliers 22.5 (tied for 13th)

The Cavaliers are (7-3) in their last ten games whereas the Hawks are (8-2).  These teams are pretty evenly matched in the major statistical categories but I would give the edge to Cleveland.  Atlanta has gone (3-2) in their last five regular season games versus Cleveland but the Cavs swept them (4-0) in the 2015 NBA Playoffs.  The Cavs are a hard team to project on a nightly basis but they usually get up for big games so I’m picking them to win a close one Friday.
