On Thursday, March, 17th at approximately 2:15 P.M. the (12) Yale Bulldogs will take on the (5) Baylor Bears in the first round of the 64 team NCAA Basketball Tournament.  Yale is (22-6) on the season while Baylor is (26-7).  “The Crowd” projects a final score of Baylor 72.5 – Yale 68.5 with an over/under of 141.  The “Vegas Line” has a final score of Baylor 71 – Yale 65.5 with an over/under of 136.5.

Scoring Margin: Yale +12.0 (17th) Baylor +7.9 (52nd)

Assists per game: Baylor 17.8 (5th) Yale 15.2 (64th)

These teams are pretty evenly matched in the major statistical categories, but I have to give the advantage to Baylor for putting up the numbers against superior competition.  Baylor has three signature wins over a ranked opponent: Vanderbilt, Iowa State (twice), Texas (twice).  Yale does not have any signature wins over ranked opponents.  In fact, in their only game against a ranked opponent, they lost 80-61 to Duke.  I like Baylor to win this one.
